Diabetes is the condition in which a
person's blood glucose or blood sugar levels are too high. The main source of
energy is blood glucose that comes from the food you eat. It is because when
insulin production is inadequate or when the body’s cells do not respond properly
to insulin. The symptoms of diabetes are:

Polyuria- It is the condition when you
are going for frequent urination.
· Polydipsia- It is the condition when you
become increasingly thirsty.
· Polyphagia- It is the condition when you
are hungry.
Types
of Diabetes:

Type 1 Diabetes- It is a chronic
condition when the body does not produce insulin. It usually develops in early
adulthood or teenage years. There are approx. 10% of Type 1 diabetes cases.

Type 2 Diabetes: It is a condition when
the body does not produce enough insulin for proper function. Over-weighted
people are mostly affected by this type of diabetes. There are approx. 90% of
Type 2 diabetes cases.
·
Gestational Diabetes: This type of
diabetes mostly affects pregnant women when their bodies are unable to produce
enough insulin.
·
Prediabetes: It is a condition in which
sugar level is high but not at the level of Type 2 diabetes.
